The Beginning: PART 3The Beginning: Part 3
"Packing! What do mean packing?" I shouted in confusion.
"Rachel, can't you see? That dude knew you were the "chosen". You have to follow this map and find out where it leads to!" my bother shouted back with excitement.
My head was spinning with confusion. Could this person really know my destiny?
"Caleb...g..g..give me a minute," I said to him as I left and went to my room.
I looked down at the map. Should I do this? How did this guy know my dreams? So many questions were floating around in my head. I shut my eyes and tried to make some since of it. Soon I fell asleep.
A big wide open field stretched for miles. The Lavender Tree was about 30 feet in front of me. I ran towards it and found an old man lying beneath it.
"Hello?" I asked.
"I thought you would never come," the old man said.
"Who are you?"
"That is not important. What is though, is that you must come to South Mobious. That is the only way to help the chosen," the strange old man replied.
"What's in Sou

With my fist clenched, I started walking towards to the bots. All of sudden a force pulled me back. I looked behind me to find Sammie tugging on my arm.
"Let me go Sammie," I told her forcefully.
"Rachel, there's nothing you can do about it. They might even robotize you too," my friend said in her most serious voice.
I looked back to the man. He was nearly out the square, but I could still hear him pleading for his life. People turned away from him trying not to notice.
"Fine," I said.
I stormed back under the tree and grumbled.
"I just wish there was something that I....anyone could do!" I cried to Sammie in vain.
I slid down and hung my head in shame.
"I'm sorry Rachel..." Sammie said in a sad voice.
Caleb comes around the corner and sees Sammie and me. He runs over to us.
"What was all the commotion?" he said.
"Another person was taken to be robotized," replied Sammie.
"Oh...well Rachel I got the milk. Why don't we go on home. I have something to show you."
The Beginning: PART 1The Beginning
Lush green grass tickled my legs as the wind stirred them. My pink locks whipped around my face, but I pushed them aside. I looked up to see a large green emerald sitting in idle above a stony sanctuary. I started walking towards it, up the long steps. I reached the top and admired the jewel as it began to to glow. A distant voice called out to me," You are to help the chosen." The emerald grew brighter as the voice grew more intense. The sanctuary started to shake and crumble. It rocked my feet and I fell back into a never ending pit.
I bolted awake. I looked around my small shabby room. "It was just another dream," I told myself. I got up and made my bed and then headed to the kitchen. "Me and Jared are heading out to work," my father said. They were about to step out of the door when my mother caught them. "Not before you eat something. Here take a few pieces of bread." She handed them their food and they stepped outside.
"Good morning mother," I replied taking a seat
Poetic PsychosisIn thirty seconds, the next shell would fall. Every night was the same, but every night Lorenzo experienced it as if it were the first time. His throat felt swollen; breathing was hard. He glanced around at the others; young men like him who had been shipped out in the name of honour and freedom. There was no honour in this, no freedom. Only death behind your eyelids, and a fear so gutting, that it carved out your innards and left you a hollow husk. Lorenzo tried to breathe, tried to assure himself that he was still whole, still made of flesh. They had lied when they told him he was ready.
Matteo ran towards him, arms out, rifle swinging uselessly at his side. He shouted for him to run, but Lorenzo remained motionless, unable to move as his friend’s warning was lost in the constant blare of gunfire. None of them were ready.
“The cycle is repeating. It is not safe.” The voice was soft and weak, yet it carried over the gunfire and battle cries without impediment.
